Tranquil Vermont Getaway at Kimpton: A Pet Friendly Luxury Hotel

A pet friendly hotel in the beautiful mountains of Vermont

This boutique property is located in the small town of Manchester, Vermont, a lovely village with shops and restaurants dotted around the main road. There is a large Orvis flagship store as well as a Range Rover driving course. Along with a few golf courses and nearby mountain trails, there really is something for everyone here.

For this stay, I used my free night certificate that is a benefit of the IHG Premier credit card, along with Platinum status. IHG allows you to add points to your certificate, but on this occasion I was able to find a room with no additional points necessary. It was off-season, which meant a quieter hotel and overall, for me, a better experience. This luxury property is very tranquil when it’s not at full capacity.

Kimpton is known for being pet friendly, but on the next level! They provide pet bowls, treats, and beds and they have a welcome board at check in with all the pet names listed. They really do go above and beyond for your furry traveling companion. I should note, they also take birds, fish, cats, lizards, and whatever else you may travel with. The best part-no pet fee! Nadda. None.

Kimpton knows how to pamper your fur baby

On this excursion, I was traveling with my pup. She managed to get in a few of the room pictures. She’s a ham! The grounds here are lush, with beautiful landscaping and attention to detail. Plenty of room for my dog to roam and explore!

There are no shortage of amenities either. They have a small, heated lap style pool, but it was too chilly on this stay to give it a try. Also an on-site restaurant (delish!), a yoga mat in every room, Kickboard scooters for the kids, complementary wine hour each evening and much more.

This property also offers rooms available in cottages that dot the sidewalk along the main road. These cannot be booked using points or Chase free night awards, but if they are open when you check-in, you can upgrade for a fee. I opted to do this since I wanted a quiet stay, plus the option to pop out the front door and right onto the grass made it very easy to take the dog out.

Overall, the stay was lovely. With quiet luxury and an understated elegance, this hotel is a must stay if you want to explore Vermont and the surrounding area. It is a fantastic use of your credit card free night!
