Hotel Cards that offer Free Nights
If you’ve been listening to our podcast (and you should be), then you’ve hear us talk about credit cards that offer free nights as part of the annual perks. You can use them for either mid-tier hotels or luxury properties for next to nothing. Either way, these free night offers can ofter justify the credit card annual fee.
For example, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card comes with a $95 annual fee. Aside from the many other card benefits, it gives a 35,000 point certificate. Let’s take a look at an example:

The Residence Inn Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea offers rooms starting at 32,000. Using your points, you could get a room that would have cost you upwards of $249! Not every hotel will be an option, but in general you can expect to get about $200 in value from your certificate. As an added bonus, Marriott allows you to add up to 15,000 points to your certificate, giving you 50,000 points to utilize.
So for me, this card is a keeper year after year. Get more information and apply here:

Another low fee card, the Chase World of Hyatt card, has an annual fee of $95 as well. This card offers a Category 1-4 free night. I’ve used that certificate to stay at a hotel that was running $350/nt. Here is an example for Orlando/Disney:

This is an excellent Category 4 hotel. Rooms here can run $300/nt and higher. If they have a standard room available, you can use your free night certificate.
YMMV, but for me, this card stays in my wallet.
There are higher card fees that offer more luxury options, but for the card beginner, these are two solid options to have in your portfolio. Just remember to pick the card that makes the most sense for you. If there are no Hyatt properties where you want to travel, then look at the Marriott Chase option instead. Or vise versa. Either way, these cards provide an excellent value!
Choose any Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card that is right for you.
